Jack Of Hearts- It’s kind of an anthem to young girls out there about a guy – a specific kind of guy – that you want to be careful of. He’s the charming guy who’s not really so charming once you get to know him. He’s the bad boy who looks good. You want him – but at the end of the day, he’s no good for you at all. The song is saying, why settle for the Jack of Hearts when you can have the King? This is a true story in my life. Falling in love with the Jack changed my life and it’s the reason I wrote this song and others off the record. The interesting part is I really did see it coming, but I’m better off for experiencing what I did, because Falling in love is never a mistake. I know what I want in life. My Jack of Hearts is really a King of Hearts now. I met my husband in 1982, and he was a jack of hearts, and broke mine. However, I was more headstrong than most girls, and told him I would be around when he regained hi s senses. And when he did, I was waiting. It's now been 26+ years of happy marriage to my King. He is all you could ever hope to find in a guy.
You are a truely golden talent. I hope you havea fabulous career, and a beautiful life.
