My Heartland

All I can say is I feel so alive!!! This week in the midwest has been one of the best weeks of my life. Something changed inside of me. I have laughed until I cried. I'm out on the road with 4 midwesterners right now now! We have myself from Iowa, Joe & Jimmy from Ohio, and Mike Noble from Illinois. There is nothing better than home sweet home is there! I spent a few days in New York last weekend and had a great time. Then came home to Iowa and let me tell you I wouldn't trade that for anything! People are so sweet. My trip started in Omaha, where I visited a station and then headed to Des Moines. That night my momma & stepdad cooked the best steaks I've ever had!!!!!! Don't forget sweet corn. I probably gained 10 pounds but it's so worth it! The next morning, day of my release, I went on air with Andy Elliot and Lindsay at KJJY. We had a blast for 3 1/2 hours and I got really pretty darn good at doing the weather. ha ha. That night I celebrated with my friends and family at the Best Buy in West Des Moines. It was one of the best nights of my life. It's hard to believe I can walk in and grab a copy there. I can't believe how far I've come. I guess I really appreciate everything so much because I'm seriously having the time of my life right now. I know it's gonna take time to have what they call "Success " in the business, but right here right now I feel so blessed and happy that I get to walk in my shoes. I have a music home where everybody believes in me. I wouldn't trade that for anything and that's what it's all about. I'm a believer that anything can happen. Remember when you were a kid and nothing was out of reach. That's how I feel right now. It's all what you make it:) After all that I headed to Mason City and met Wolf Bowers. What a great Guy! Then did another instore at a Best Buy in Souix City. I want to give a shout out to Best Buy! You guys treated me like a queen. We then headed to Wichita and met with Beverlee Branigan, who I've known for awhile I found out! She is a doll! Ended with some charming boys, Anthony Allen, Rick, & Rooster for my last radio stop! whew. Yup I'm tired just thinking about it. ha ha. The great thing is I feel like a million bucks this morning. Slept in and had some coffee this morning and embracing time sweet time. Till we meet again
